Week Long Sports-Cultural Fiesta YUVA 2015 inaugurated by Mayor

November 30, 2015: A week long cultural fest ‘YUVA’ was inaugurated by the Mayor of Durg, Chhattisgargh, and other political figures like MIC member D.N. Chandrakar, Ratnesh Chandrakar, Gayathri Sahu, Alka Bhaghmar, Gyandas Banjare and Sajan Joseph on 30/11/2015.

The Chief Guest at the Inaugural, Mrs. Chandrika Chandran, Mayor of Durg, unveiled the theme for Yuva 2015 ‘March Together Towards Success’ and in her address said Nurses’ love, devotion and behaviour cures half the ailments, they serve patient’s selflessly. She also congratulated the college management for organizing such a mega event and the disciplinary activities of the students.

Father George Abhayanand OIC, welcomed the chief guest and the gathering. Principal of the college, Teaching staff and Non-Teaching staff actively participated in the fest. Over 170 students participated in more than 25 different contests and competitions which were grouped under Arts, Literature and Sports.

Following the formal program, various events such as Indian Solo and Group Dance, Singing, Rangoli, Mehandi were held at the BCN campus. The highlights were events like Tableau, Extempore, and Fancy Dress. Other popular events included MAD Ads, I Hate Lies, Pictionary Race, and Word Connection. Overall the programme brought a great opportunity for the students to display their talents. The show concluded on a high note as everybody danced, sang and enjoyed the events.

Fresher’s Day

Health Education Programme for the Rural Poor

On 27th October 2015 Bethany College of Nursing organized health education in the village area near to the college campus. Many posters, flash cards and charts were prepared by the students for the awareness regarding the following:

  1. Environmental sanitation
  2. Closed Drainage system
  3. Importance of Hand washing & its technique
  4. Safe usage& storage of water

Students gave Health education & demonstrated hand washing technique. The community people were so responsive and cooperated with us.
